CONSTITUENT EMAILS ARE STARTING TO FLY. LOTS OF FOLKS SIGNED OUR PETITION. THEY WANT A VOTE ON CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY!
Dear Representative Benninghoff:

I am writing today for the purpose of having you reconsider your opposition of letting the above subject bill reach the full house floor so that our elected lawmakers can vote and therefore represent the will of the people (constituents) that voted to have them represent their interests in state legislation.

It is not my intent to be disrespectful or even contentious but my understanding of the 2nd Amendment to the constitution grants the Americans such freedom and liberty. I truly am not an advocate nor detractor of firearms and citizens carrying firearms in public or public buildings but I am an avid supporter of the United States Constitution and as such must insist that it is neither your ideology or personal opinion/desire that is at issue in this matter. Should the right to bare arms be diminished or deleted is a matter of a constitutional amendment and sincerely not a function of your office or the state legislature.

Please reconsider and allow HB659 to reach the house floor so that my voice can be heard. I believe it is your moral duty.

Sincere Regards

Dominic

Is this Bill any better than SB76?

Yeah yeah yeah Been hearing this for 15 yrs I broken and given up I pay rent to the school district every fall Even though I own my home

As long as there is money to extort from pa homeowners, nothing will change. Look at the sudden concern to replace the gas tax, the financial spigot dries up, then and only then will the extortion end.

Sadly, this bill does not remove taxing authority from the school districts. Instead of property tax, it can then levy a local income tax if it decides that its allocation from the state isn't enough. Lots of potential for monkey business here. I would like to see this bill send the funds directly to parents instead of the districts, giving the parents the option to spend those funds at any school they please, public or private. Right now, Jenkintown spends $25,000 per pupil. I'll take that $25K and happily shop around for schools.
